A. J. Jurek Post to hold breakfast

A pancake breakfast will take place from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at the A. J. Jurek Post, 655 New Road, between Smith Road and Millersport Highway, East Amherst. The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, sausage links and patties, juice and coffee. The cost is free for children ages 5 and younger, $4 for children younger than 12, and $8 for adults.

Free bridge lessons to begin Sept. 16

Free bridge lessons for beginner middle and high school students will be offered from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every Sunday beginning Sept. 16 at the Bridge Center of Buffalo, 3362 Sheridan Drive. For more information or to sign up, email coordinator Carol Bedell at lorac5@roadrunner.com.

Medicare presentation slated for Sept. 26

A free presentation about Medicare will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Buffalo First Wealth Management LLC, 7606 Transit Road, Amherst. The presentation will be led by Maria Shenk of Univera Healthcare. Seating is limited. Make a reservation at 204-8369.

Skinnersville Cemetery Association to meet

The Skinnersville Cemetery Association Inc. will hold its annual lot owners/ trustee meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, in the White Chapel on the cemetery grounds at 490 Frontier Road off John James Audubon Parkway, Amherst. Garden club meeting slated for Sept. 13

The Town and Country Garden Club will meet at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Arbordale Nursery, 480 Dodge Road, Getzville. The program will be about landscape planning. Guests are welcome.

The Smallwood Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at United Methodist Church, 5681 Main St., Williamsville. Danielle Pecoraro, owner and operator of Wild Birds Unlimited in Blasdell, will present “Fall and Winter Backyard Birds.” Guests are welcome.
