Church schedules carillon concert

The final installment of the 40th annual Summer Carillon Concert Series will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Calvary Episcopal Church, 20 Milton St., Williamsville. Following a performance on Western New York’s only authentic hand-played carillon, Mike and Mandy will perform at 8 p.m. Refreshments will be available, and attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.

Williamsville walking tour slated

Explore Buffalo will host a walking tour of the Village of Williamsville at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, and at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11. Participants should meet at the bridge at the entrance to Island Park, behind the Amherst Municipal Building at 5583 Main St. The tour, which lasts about two hours, will proceed rain or shine. The cost is $15 for general admission or $5 for students. There is no cost for patrons who have Explorer Passes. For more information or to register in advance, visit www.ExploreBuffalo.org.

Boulevard Mall fashion show slated

The annual Boulevard Mall Back-to-School Fashion Show will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the center court near Macy’s. More than 75 children and adults will walk the runway in the latest styles. Melissa Holmes, news anchor at WGRZ-TV, will be the emcee. Church sets ‘Solar under the Sun’

A free Vacation Bible School program will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Aug. 20, through Friday, Aug. 24, at North Presbyterian Church, 300 N. Forest Road, Williamsville. The program, for children going into universal pre-K through fifth grade, will feature Bible stories, creative crafts, hands-on activities, music, recreation and snacks, all centered around a solar theme.
