Dona E. Dise, Windermere Elementary teacher

Dona Elizabeth Dise, 88, of Caroga Lake, New York, formerly of Amherst, died Monday, May 14, 2018.

Ms. Dise was born on June 28, 1929, in Buffalo and was the daughter of George and Elizabeth Dise. She was a graduate of Hiram College and taught at Windermere Boulevard Elementary School.

She spent summers at Canada Lake most of her life and moved to Caroga Lake in 2001, where she was active in the following clubs: Nick Stoner Seniors and the Friday Lunch Bunch at Partners.

Ms. Dise is survived by one niece, Kathryn Powell; two nephews, Karl and Chris Dise; seven grandnieces and nephews; and four great-grandnieces and nephews.

A circle of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, at the historic Trinity Church in Fairfield, New York. Arrangements were made by the Ehle and Barnett Family Funeral Home, 15 N. William St., Johnstown, New York.
