Amherst Youth and Recreation plans spring programs

Amherst Youth and Recreation has announced some of its spring programs and open registrations. For more information or to register for a program, visit www.amherstyouthandrec.org or call 631-7132.

Registration for the adult coed kickball league for ages 18 and older is now open. Team rosters may have as many as 18 participants with a minimum of eight, two of whom must be Town of Amherst residents. Every team must also have a minimum of four women playing. Games take place on Wednesday nights at Dellwood Park and Sattler Field in Amherst. For more information, contact Jennifer Reed at 689-1404 or at jreed@amherst.ny.us.

Badminton for ages 16 and older will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays in the large gym at the Clearfield Community Center. The cost is $25 with a valid resident ID and $50 for nonresidents.

Pickleball for ages 10 and older will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursdays beginning April 19, at the Clearfield Community Center. The cost is $25 with a valid resident ID and $50 for nonresidents.

Special needs programs including open gym, crafts and cooking will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays ending May 8 at the Northtown Center. The cost is $25 with a valid resident ID and $50 for nonresidents.
