WILD RIDE

— Snyder firefighters used the Jaws of Life and other tools to extricate the driver of a tractor-trailer that fell on its side during the windstorm on April 4. The incident occurred at about 10:30 a.m. near the interchange of Interstates 90 and 290. According to Snyder firefighters, the truck driver was not seriously injured when the wind caused his trailer to lift from the ground and roll the truck onto its side. Assisting at the scene were members of Twin City Ambulance, Amherst police, Thruway Authority officials and State Troopers.
