Village festivities, fare to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

The Williamsville Business Association is sponsoring festivities this week in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, which is Saturday, March 17.

While the Irishman Pub and Eatery, 5601 Main St., will provide its outdoor tent from March 16 through 18, establishments throughout the village will also celebrate the Irish holiday.

The Glen Park Tavern, 5507 Main St., will offer dance performances by members of Rince Na Tiarna at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, and 4:30 p.m. March 17. Also on the holiday, the restaurant will feature music by Tom Callahan at 8 p.m.

Throughout the week, Break’n Eggs Creperie will serve Irish fare, including Reuben chowder, corned beef hash, eggs Benedict and Reuben crepe. Moor Pat, 78 E. Spring St., will be offering St. Patrick’s Day-themed drinks, including a brewer from Ireland who will be present on March 16, in addition to specials on Tullamore D.E.W. whiskey.

The Eagle House, 5578 Main St., will serve Irish fare from March 15 through 18. A performance by Clann Na Cara Irish dancers is set for 6:30 p.m. March 15, at the restaurant.

At the Irishman, music under the tent begins at 3:30 p.m. March 16, with a performance by Joe Head before Hit ‘N’ Run takes the stage at 7 p.m. Clann Na Cara and Rince Na Tiarna dancers will perform at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively.

Music on St. Patrick’s Day at the Irishman begins at noon, when Step in Time performs, followed by Chris Maloney at 3:30 p.m. and Passion Works at 7 p.m. Clann Na Cara and Rince Na Tiarna dancers will take the stage at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively.

The final day of the holiday’s festivities at the Irishman will include a performance by Shanaway at noon and Joe Head at 3 p.m. Rince Na Tiarna will perform at 4:30 p.m.

The restaurant is also featuring traditional Irish fare throughout the week to further celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
