Amherst Bicentennial Events

The following is a listing of bicentennial-themed events, some of which will be held at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, 3755 Tonawanda Creek Road, Amherst:

• Now through Saturday, March 10: Williamsville School District art show at BNHV

• March 24-25: Maple Weekend at BNHV

• April 5: Bicentennial anniversary reception at BNHV

• April 14: Opening ceremony for the Whisker Club (site to be announced)

• April 15: Amherst Symphony Orchestra Bicentennial Concert at Amherst Middle School

• May 5: Swormville Walking Tour

• May 5: Bicentennial Interclub Luncheon, hosted by the BNHV

• May 10: Open house at BNHV (Amherst Free Day)

• May 28: Memorial Day Parade on Main Street, Williamsville

• June 2: Village of Williamsville Walking Tour

• June 3: German Sommerfest at BNHV

• June 7: Founder’s Day at BNHV

• June 14: Flag Day celebrations at various schools

• July 4: Town of Amherst July 4th celebration at UB Amherst Campus

• July 7: Snyder Walking Tour

• July 10: Old Home Days Bicentennial Parade on Main Street, Williamsville

• Aug. 4: Williamsville Cemetery Walking Tour

• Aug. 18-19: Scottish Festival at BNHV

• Sept. 8: Bicentennial Gala at UB Center for the Arts

• Sept. 22: 5K Run in the Country at BNHV

• Oct. 19-20: Halloween Trick or Treat at BNHV

• October 2018: Whisker Club closing ceremony (site to be announced)

• Dec. 1: Holiday Tea at BNHV

• Dec. 2: Breakfast with Santa at BNHV

• Dec. 8: Taste of Christmas at BNHV

• Dec. 17: Closing ceremony at the Amherst Municipal Building, 5583 Main St., Williamsville.
