Candidate’s resume, service speaks to voters

As many of you know, my chief of staff, Erin K. Baker, is running for Amherst Town Board. When I hired her, I really only knew Erin by her impressive resume.

Now, nearly six years later, I can tell you that hiring Erin was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. She couldn’t be more dedicated and hard working. Any success that I have had serving as your representative in the state Assembly is due in large part to the job Erin has done.

As my chief of staff, Erin oversees everything that comes through my office, including legislation, community events, intergovernmental relations, constituent service, personnel and scheduling.

She is my representative at community and governmental events here at home. Through the years, Erin has developed strong relationships with governmental, not-for-profit, business and community leaders throughout Western New York. Such relationships will prove to be invaluable as a member of the Town Board.

She has great attention to detail, an incredible capacity to analyze information, and an ability to communicate her ideas in a thoughtful and direct manner.

But most impressive is Erin’s concern, compassion and commitment to the people we serve. She has a passion for public service that shines through in everything she does. I know that protecting our quality of life and ensuring the health and welfare of our community for this and future generations will be her number one priority.

Erin Baker has proven herself, day in and day out, to be an invaluable asset in my office. Her hard work, dedication, compassion and commitment would be a perfect addition to the Amherst Town Board. If you, the voters, make the same decision to hire Erin Baker that I did, you’ll see that it’s one of the best decisions you’ll ever make as well.
