The following events are open to members of the Amherst Center for Senior Services, 370 John James Audubon Parkway. Call 636-3055, ext. 3108 to register.

Shirley Chen, an opera singer, will perform at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11. Make a reservation at 636-3055, ext. 3108.

A coffee break will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, on the patio.

A DIY craft session will take place at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15. Attendees will be making personalized tile photo coasters. The fee is $4. Bring a picture that is 4 by 4 inches to use and make a paid reservation by Thursday, Aug. 10.

A picnic in Walton Woods will take place at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16. The fee is $3, and members are asked to bring a chair. Make paid reservations at the I&A Desk or call 636-3055, ext. 3108, by Monday, Aug. 14.

Silver Pride Tea Time will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16. There will be a social hour for lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual seniors ages 50 and older, and their supporters. A brief presentation on an LGBT topic will be held, and coffee, tea and cookies will be served.

A “deliciously deceptive” cooking class will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17. Members will be making banana splits on a stick. The fee is $4. Bring a Tupperware container and make a paid reservation by Tuesday, Aug. 15.

A ukulele sing-along with Jennifer May and her ukuleles will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, on the terrace. Refreshments will be served. RSVP at 636-3055, ext. 3108, by Wednesday, Aug. 16.

Wednesday, Aug. 9 — Salisbury steak, au gratin potatoes, peas and an apple.

Thursday, Aug. 10 — Veal Parmesan, spaghetti, green beans, cauliflower and tapioca pudding.

Friday, Aug. 11 — Turkey, mashed potatoes, carrots and apple pie.

Monday, Aug. 14 — Pizza, chicken fingers, broccoli, potato wedges and cantaloupe.

Tuesday, Aug. 15 — Ham steak, scalloped potatoes, red cabbage and rice pudding. Alternate: antipasto salad.
