Valuable service provided by health fair

I wanted to thank our state senator, Michael Ranzenhofer, for Saturday’s educational, informational and beneficial 2017 Family Health Fair, co-sponsored by Kaleida Health and the Amherst Senior Center in conjunction with our Assemblyman Ray Walter.

There were more than 85 organizations in attendance, sharing valuable medical screening, health advice, very useful literature, and providing the all important giveaways.

I am sure the large crowd was very satisfied with the social and physical active information from organizations such as the Jewish Community Center and the Amherst Senior Center as well as valuable information from groups on elder care, breast cancer, heart disease, stroke, nutrition, health and wellness, mental health and substance abuse to name a few vital areas.

The medical professionals in attendance and the University at Buffalo health care students were another valuable asset of the day. Having attended this noteworthy event, which focused on the varied and highly valuable support in family health available for our community members, I feel better already.

The Health Fair’s value to our community health is praiseworthy. Thank you to all who contributed.
