VA to host employment, education fair

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Western New York Healthcare System will host an employment and education fair for veterans from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 10, in Freedom Hall at the Buffalo site, 3495 Bailey Ave. Veterans will have the opportunity to meet with prospective employers, learn about education opportunities available through local colleges and participate in workshops to improve skills. Information will be available to assist veteran owned businesses in the process of bidding for government work. Social media workshop offered at UB

The University at Buffalo School of Social Work Office of Continuing Education is offering a morning workshop for human service administrators on the best human resource practices regarding social media. The workshop will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the UB Center for Tomorrow, located at Flint and Maple roads in Amherst. The instructor is Robert W. Miller Jr., president of R.W. Miller Jr. & Associates, a human resource and management consulting firm. The fee is $50. BNI schedules weekly meeting in Williamsville
