.I understand that some people don’t agree with Kevin Gaughan, and I also understand that many people do not want to listen to him speak and express his views. But what I don’t understand is people threatening businesses in our area with boycotts (and worse) if they permit Mr. Gaughan to speak. This is America; it’s a free country. We all have a right to express our views.

.The village has 3,700 voters and two village meetings every month. Ninety-nine percent of these meetings are attended by fewer than 10 villagers, one being The Bee reporter. With that kind of government participation, just what are some people hollering to save?

.Why haven’t we heard anything about the Village of Hamburg being dissolved, since that’s where Kevin Gaughan lives? If it was such a good deal, why doesn’t he want to take advantage of it?

.I am both puzzled and amused by people who want to keep Williamsville’s village government. When I was a high school student and attended a village meeting, I was surprised to see only a handful of people in the audience. I was shocked to hear that this was a common occurrence at most village meetings.
