Carly Weiser, activities leader at ElderWood Health Care at Heathwood, in Amherst, has received a $500 scholarship from ElderWood Senior Care. She will study theater and performance at Niagara University this fall.

Eva Lankes was awarded the Angela Coniglio Memorial Scholarship. A 2009 Amherst Central High School graduate, she became the 13th girl to earn the recognition. She was captain of the school's basketball team that won the 2009 section VI class A championship. She was also captain of the softball team and was make the school's most valuable player. She earned All Western New York honors. Lankes will major in education at Brockport University.

Williamsville North's PTSA awarded $500 scholarships to following graduates: Eric Bellinger, Stacy Cavagnaro, Quinn Collins, Alyssa Curran, Hannah Delansky, Benjamin Joyce, Stephanie Kranz, Caitlin Kubala, Marissa Loomis, Abigail MacDonald, Kelsey Rogers, Samantha Smith, Justin Tay, Caitlin Triantafillou, and Lauren Triantafillou. Scholarships were awarded to students based on their achievement in community service, leadership, academic performance and/or exemplary resilience in the face of adversity.
