Agnes Sobolewski, homemaker

Agnes Sobolewski, 81, a homemaker, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, while under the care of Hospice House in Pinellas Park, Fla.

Born Agnes Kraus in Buffalo, she was a graduate of Kensington High School.

She was a long-time resident of Amherst, having lived there for many years with her husband, the late Edward Baer. They also lived in Burnaby Bay, Canada and moved to Florida in 1991. He died in 1996.

During her time in Amherst, she was an active auxiliary member of Amvets Post 49. Her family said she was a good seamstress.

Mrs. Sobolewski is survived by two sisters, Arlene Roberts of Clarence and Dolores Schaab of the Town of Tonawanda.

Services were held in Largo, Fla.
