Rotary Car Show, Fun Day set for July 23

The Rotary Clubs of Amherst South, Amherst North, Amherst East and Williamsville are hosting the third annual Classic Car Show and Family Fun Day at the Amherst Pepsi Center, 1615 Manor Drive just off Maple Road in Amherst.

The family friendly event will be held rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 23. Included is a Battle of the Bands and

Touch-A-Truck" for children. The

Touch-A-Truck" event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is $5 per child, ages 4 and older. Children will be able to get a close-up look at several vehicles.

Richard Wojtowicz, car show expert and Rotary Classic Car Show Committee member said, "This event will surpass our previous two years and will be great fun for the whole family."

He added, "The Bijou Grille will again have their famous barbecue chicken dinners and other refreshments available for all who attend."

Chicken dinner tickets can be purchased in advance from any member of the four Rotary Clubs or by calling 743-5006. The event is sponsored in part by Towne BMW-Mini Cooper and Verizon.

Day of show registrations for vehicles is $15 and more than 100 awards will be handed out. Information about the car show is also available at the phone number listed above.
