Science teacher wins award

Mill Middle School science teacher, Kenneth Huff, recently received the Excellence in Science Teaching award from the Science Teacher’s Association of New York State (STANYS).

Huff is a sixth grade science teacher, team leader and avid aerospace educator.

Huff has also given workshops for fellow educators at the local, state and national level. He is on the Aerospace Program Advisory Board for the NSTA, the STANYS Western Section Executive Board and the Board of Directors for the proposed Challenger Center in Niagara Falls.

In 2001, he was named the Air Force Association’s New York State Science Teacher of the Year. In 2004, the National Congress on Aviation and Space Education inducted Huff into their Crown Circle. Huff received his award in early November.
