Norman M. DiDonato, president of DiDonato Associates

DiDonato DiDonato Norman Michael Di- Donato, 83, of Getzville, died Monday, March 5, 2018.

Mr. DiDonato was born on March 23, 1934, in Greenville, Pennsylvania, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1956.

Mr. DiDonato served in the U.S. Army from 1956 through 1958 and was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve from 1958 through 1962. He was the founder and former president of DiDonato Associates in Buffalo where he worked from 1965 until his retirement in 2017.

A member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and National Society of Professional Engineers, Mr. Di- Donato was a recipient of the American Public Workers Association and American Institute of Architects awards in the groups’ Western New York chapters.

He was a member of the Lancaster Country Club and enjoyed golfing and gardening.

Mr. DiDonato is survived by his wife, Jan (nee Eisler); three children, Toni DiDonato, Jody Bustamante and John DiDonato; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sibling, Robert. He was preceded in death by one sibling, Joseph.

A funeral service was held on March 10 from St. Pius X Church. Arrangements were made by the Amigone Funeral Home Inc. Memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo Inc.
