Nelson J. DiPasquale, Buffalo police officer


DiPasquale DiPasquale Nelson J. DiPasquale, 82, of Williamsville, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018.

Mr. DiPasquale was born on Jan. 11, 1936, in Buffalo. After graduating from Lafayette High School, he went on to serve in the U.S. Navy as a petty officer. He also worked as a Buffalo police officer from 1962 to 1982.

The Italian American Police Association Man of the Year, Mr. DiPasquale also was a member of the Gold Shield Buffalo Police Officer Club, Detective Sergeant Club, Police Benevolent Association, the British Car Club and the Jaguar Club of Western New York.

Mr. DiPasquale is survived by his wife, Nancy (nee Viola); two children, Lisa DiPasquale-Cove and Paul DiPasquale; four siblings, Rose Marinola, Connie Thrasher, Jeanette Kogut and Lebert DiPasquale; and five grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Feb. 3 from SS. Peter and Paul Church. Arrangements were made by the Amigone Funeral Home Inc.
