St. Mary’s Apartments slates vendor fair

Williamsville’s historic St. Mary’s Apartments, located at 400 Mill St., near Amherst State Park, will host a variety of vendors from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11. Admission is free.

Intro to Judaism course to start at BJE

The Bureau of Jewish Education, in collaboration with the Buffalo Board of Rabbis and Cantors, is offering a 14-week “Introduction to Judaism” course from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning Sept. 6, at the Jewish Community Center, 2640 N. Forest Road, Getzville. Attendees will explore Jewish life, theology, history, literature and language. The course costs $72 plus textbooks. Basket raffle to be held Aug. 12

The Amherst Youth Foundation will hold a large basket raffle from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Williamsville Youth and Family Center, 5005 Sheridan Drive. Raffle sheets are one for $10 or three for $20. Roast beef sandwiches and snacks will be available for purchase. There will also be free face painting provided by Amherst Youth Engaged in Service.
