Forest Stream garden Club to hold meeting

The Forest Stream Garden Club will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Presbyterian Village, located at 214 Village Park Drive, off North Forest Road behind North Presbyterian Church in Williamsville. Babbidean Huber, a master gardener, will give a presentation on landscape designs.

Elderwood to hold open house

Elderwood Assisted Living at Williamsville, 5271 Main St., will hold an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17. To RSVP call RaeAnn at 565-9663.

Montgomery Park opens invitation

To commemorate bird feeding month, representatives from the Hawk Greek Wildlife Center will be coming to Montgomery Park for an educational program including three live birds at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23. Montgomery Park is located at 6363 Transit Road, East Amherst.

Sewing guild to hold information session

A discussion on sewing machines will take place at the meeting of the American Sewing Guild at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 205 Longmeadow Road, Eggertsville.

Smallwood Garden Club slates meeting

The next meeting of the Smallwood Garden Club will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, at Williamsville United Methodist Church, 5681 Main St. Donna Lipowicz will give a presentation on orchids as part of the SGC Floral Serenity speaker series. She has 20 years of experience growing and showing orchids and is a fourth-year student orchid judge. Call Kathleen Humphrey at 310-6263 with questions.

Elderwood slates history presentation

Join Elderwood Chaplain MaryAnn Bartels for a brief history and slide show of Buffalo shopping establishments such as Knox Five and flagship department stores such as LLBerger’s at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Elderwood Village, 5271 Main St., Williamsville. Legion to host pancake breakfast

A pancake breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, at the A.J. Jurek American Legion Post, 655 New Road, East Amherst. The cost for the all-you-can-eat breakfast is $8 for adults, $4 for children younger than 12 and free for children 5 and younger.
