CLEARY, Michael N., of New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Williamsville, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013. He was a retired sergeant major of the Army and a member of the Vietnam Vets/Legacy Vets M/C. Mr. Cleary is survived by his wife, Ranu; three sons, Michael, Martin and Matthew; his parents, Fran and Allie Jane Cleary; five grandchildren; one brother, James; and one sister, Sharon. DUGGAN, Thelma W. (nee Witnauer), of Amherst, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013. Mrs. Duggan is survived by three sons, James, Thomas and Daniel; four daughters, Mary Beth Butwid, Kathleen Riney, Barbara Steinhilber and Nora Macauley; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Witnauer; and one sister, Audrey Leising. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 13 from SS. Peter and Paul Church, with arrangements made by Amigone Funeral Home. JACOBI, Raymond J. Sr., of Williamsville, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013. Mr. Jacobi is survived by his wife, Suzanne (nee Poorten); one son, Raymond Jr.; three daughters, Suzanne Franjoine, Maureen Chambers and Deborah Jacobi-Rodriguez; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Martin Jr. and Joseph. He was preceded in death by one grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb. 8 from St. Gregory the Great Church, with arrangements made by Perna, Dengler, Roberts Funeral Home. MENZIE, Dorothy Marie (nee Heim), of Amherst, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013. Mrs. Menzie is survived by one son, William D.; two daughters, Marilyn Peyton and Laurie Menzies; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William James “Bill.” A Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 9 at St. Mary’s Old Church, with arrangements made by Dietrich Funeral Home. SPENGLER, Russell N., of Amherst, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013. He was a founding member of St. Leo the Great Parish Community, a member and president of its Ushers Society, and a member of the DuPont Pioneers and Francis Donovan Post 1626 American Legion. Mr. Spengler is survived by two sons, Ronald and Russell; one daughter, Patricia McGurgan; six grandchildren; and one sister, Marjorie Menders. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley I. (nee Cole). A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb. 9 at St. Leo the Great Church, with arrangements made by Amigone Funeral Home. VALONE, Geraldine G. (nee Guzik), of Amherst, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013. Mrs. Valone is survived by four sons, Stephen, Thomas, David and Robert; four grandchildren; three brothers, Edward, Robert and Michael Guzik; and one sister, Dorothy Guzik. Her husband, Dr. James S., died Feb. 4, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb. 8 at Christ the King Church, with arrangements made by Dietrich Funeral Home. VALONE, James S. Ph.D., of Amherst, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013. Dr. Valone was a professor of history at Canisius College and an associate dean of the Wehle School of Business. He was also a member of Christ the King Church for more than 50 years. He is survived by four sons, Stephen, Thomas, David and Robert; four grandchildren; one brother, Richard; and one sister, Judith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine, on Jan. 28, 2013.
