Caligiuri Louise R. Caligiuri, 81, of East Amherst, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2012.

Mrs. Caligiuri was a Buffalo native and a graduate of East High School and the Chown School of Business.

She worked for Iroquois Gas Co. and was a homemaker for 58 years.

Mrs. Caligiuri was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church Altar and Rosary Society, the church’s Adoration Society and the Diocese of Buffalo Bishop’s Committee.

She was a volunteer for the March of Dimes, the Buddy Walk and the National Downs Syndrome Society.

Mrs. Caligiuri is survived by her husband, Michael; two sons, Michael and Joseph; eight daughters, Mary Ann Hartman, Christine Scarcello, Catherine Anastas, Lisa Isley, Rosaire Banks and Terri, Regina and Jo Ann Caligiuri.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Friday, Jan. 20, in Blessed Sacrament Church with arrangements made by Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home.
