Emergency response training offered beginning Feb. 6
Enrollment is currently available for classes offered by the Community Emergency Response Team, which trains and empowers volunteers to make a difference in an emergency situation.
Classes, which begin Feb. 6 in Amherst, will teach attendees basic disaster response skills, fire safety, basic medical aid, team organization and understanding emergency response.
Training is open to anyone age 16 and older and is provided throughout nine classes of three hours each on Mondays at Sweet Home High School, 1901 Sweet Home Road, Amherst.
Enrollment is not restricted to Amherst residents. Class size is limited, and registration may be made by calling Dana Estrada at 286-8023.
