Program to assist parents of children with special needs
The Williamsville Special Education Parent Teacher Student Association will hold “Parent Advocacy in Action” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2 in the board room at the Williamsville Central District Offices, 105 Casey Road, East Amherst.
The program will be presented by Kathy McCarthy-Proulx from the Advocacy Center of Rochester and Theresa Drum from The Parent Network of Western New York.
The workshop will help parents effectively advocate for their children with special needs.
Topics to be addressed include collaboration, team building, effective communication strategies and efficient record keeping.
