Death Notices

BERENT, Lydia (nee Walker), of Amherst, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010. She is survived by her sons, David and Douglas; daughter, Pamela Militello; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Berent; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold. A service was held Friday, July 23, at Trinity Old Lutheran Church. Arrangements were made by Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home.

CHOBOY, Jacqueline P. (nee Abramowicz), of Amherst, died Thursday, July 22, 2010. She is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Robert; daughter, Karen Rizzo; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was held Monday, July 26, at Blessed Sacrament Church. Arrangements were made by Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home.

INFANTI, Nello L., of Amherst, died Monday, July 19, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Louise; sons, Steven and Richard; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was held Saturday, July 24, at Sacred Heart Church. Arrangements were made by Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home.

JENNINGS, Jeanne B. (nee Bieber), of Amherst, died Sunday, July 18, 2010. She is survived by her sons, James, Carl and Russell; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, James. A service was held Saturday, July 24, at Church of the Nativity United Church of Christ. Arrangements were made by Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home.

STECK, Antoinette “Nancy” N. (nee Newton), of Amherst, died Sunday, July 25, 2010. She is survived by her sons, Mark and Paul; daughters, Barbara Pociatek and Susan Kusneske; three grandchildren; brothers, Frank and Charles; sisters, Alice Benz and Yazabel Gibson; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul. Services were held Thursday, July 29, at Crossroads Lutheran Church. Arrangements were made by Amigone Funeral Home.

WIND, Elmer C., of Amherst, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010. He is survived by his sons, William and Robert; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion. Mr. Wind was an Army veteran who served in Africa and Italy. Services will be private. Arrangements were made by Amigone Funeral Home.
