O’Sullivan earns All-Academic WNY award

Amherst resident and Cardinal O’Hara student Ryan O’Sullivan was awarded the All-Academic Western New York award Saturday as part of the Western New York High School Sports Football Banquet Saturday at Classics V.

O’Sullivan has a four-year GPA of 94, takes Advanced Placement classes and is a member of the National Honor Society. He is ranked in the top 10 percent of his class.

He was nominated a National Scholar by the Congressional Youth Leadership Council, received the Cardinal O’Hara Honors Scholarship for all four academic years and is a four-year campus ministries volunteer at Cardinal O’Hara.

A three-year starter for O’Hara’s varsity team at tight end and long snapper, he was a first-team All-Catholic selection at tight end, earned co-MVP honors for O’Hara’s offense, and won the team’s Coach’s award for leadership, dedication, and commitment.
