Grandmother's rosary intertwined in bouquet

Mr. and Mrs. John R. Turski
Carrie Anne Leising married John Robert Turski in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, July 19, 2008, at St. Amelia Church in Tonawanda. Monsignor Thomas Maloney officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Charlene and Earl Leising of Williamsville. The groom is the son of Patricia and Jerome Turski of Tonawanda.

The bride was escorted by her father.

She wore a white Chantilly lace, A-line gown with a chapel train accompanied by a fingertip-length veil accented by pearls. She carried a bouquet of white, cream and celadon roses with green hydrangeas, with her grandmother's rosary intertwined.

The maid of honor was Shannon Leising, sister of the bride.

The bridesmaids were Heather Natale, cousin of the bride; Patricia Hupkowicz and Katherine Turski, sisters of the groom; Katie Turksi, sister-in-law of the groom; Rudy Loiacono, cousin of the groom and friend of the bride; and Elizabeth Allen and Brooke and Lindsey Matheis, friends of the bride.

The best man was Michael Turski, brother of the groom.

The ushers were Jay Hupkowicz, brother-in-law of the groom; Ryan Leising, brother of the bride; and Robert Simpson, Joseph Bechtold, William Allen, Ryan Donnelly and Scott Baker, friends of the groom.

The ring bearers were Ryan Hupkowicz and Lucas Turski, nephews of the groom. A reception was held at the Terrace Room at the Statler Towers. The couple honeymooned on a cruise to Alaska and are at home in Cheektowaga.
