Each month, the Williamsville North Student Council chooses two outstanding members of the senior class to recognize in this column. The final two seniors chosen for the 2007-08 school year are Joseph Greenwald and Erica Stricko.
Stricko, daughter of Bob and Sandy Stricko of East Amherst, is a member of German Club and the president of North's chapter of the German National Honor Society. She is also a member of National Honor Society, Math Honor Society and Student Council. She has played varsity softball for North for three years.
Outside school, Stricko is a junior counselor at Cradle Beach Camp, and she volunteers for the Tennyson Court Senior Community, the Special Olympics and Harvest for Hunger. In her free time, Stricko enjoys dancing and has taken classes for 15 years.
After graduation, she will attend Ohio State University, where she will major in chemical engineering.
Greenwald, son of Tom and Mary Greenwald of East Amherst, is a member of National Honor Society, the senior class Steering Committee, Stock Market Investment Club and DECA, North's business club. He qualified for both the state and international career conferences for DECA.
