Judith Goldberg Alcabes of Williamsville, wife of Isaac Alcabes and the late Lawrence E. Goldberg died on May 10, 2008, after a three-year battle with cancer.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Goldberg Pardo and son, Robert Goldberg; five grandchildren; and sister, Carol Kleban.

A primary school teacher for 32 years, she began a volunteer career upon her retirement in 1994 from the Kenmore School district.

She volunteered for Temple Beth Am, School 45, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and the Eggertsville Public Library. An avid bridge player and gardener, she will long be remembered for her warmth, generosity and passion for her friends and family.
