TREE CITY
 | | TREE CITY - For the 12th year, the Town of Amherst has been named Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation, honoring the town's commitment to its forest. On April 25 the town observed Arbor Day by planting two trees, donated by Earth Dimensions and Gleason's Nursery, in front of Town Hall on Main Street. Pictured from left are Highway Superintendent Bob Anderson; Kent Richter, head of the Forestry Department; and W. Travis Morse of Earth Dimensions. |
