ProjecTruth's Creativity Contest winners named

ProjecTruth of Catholic Charities unveiled the winners of its fifth annual Abstinence Until Marriage Creativity Contest: "Waiting is easier because …" at an awards reception held recently at The Fairdale Banquet Center in Williamsville.

The contest encourages students in seventh to 12th grades to creatively express their understanding of the benefits of remaining sexually abstinent until marriage and/or the consequences of high-risk behavior through art, essays, poems and/or music.

Amherst winners, all students at St. Gregory the Great School, were: first place in the poster category, Hannah Paterson of Williamsville; second place in the poster category, Maria Patnella of Getzville; first place in the poem category, Alyssa Aldridge of Clarence; and second place in the poem category, Alyssa Tzetzo of Williamsville.
