Board members need to have heart

I just want to tell you how upset I was when I read the editorial that was run in The Amherst Bee this past week. How unfair it was to you and how blind-sighted the writer is.

If I wasn't at the meeting and actually heard the words you said, I may have believed what was written, but instead, I was outraged by them. Yes, you spoke from your heart, but with the knowledge you gained from your experience of dealing with people in need - in this case, your parents. These are the type of people who need to be looked after and protected by those whom we have voted into office. We need people like you who speak from their heart and lead with their brains. Those who say what they truly believe and stick to their word.

By the way, the new members on the Town Board who were elected because of their promises to stop the overdevelopment of Amherst and listen to the needs of the residents, should learn a thing or two from you about saying what they truly believe and stick to their word. Why do they think that their predecessors were voted out of office?

Thank you for serving us in your honorable and responsible manner. And don't let this one town paper get you down.
