Buddy system

Disabled veterans being cared for by the Veterans Administration Western New York Healthcare System teamed up with experienced comrades last week to learn how to paddle 30-foot double-hulled outrigger canoes at Amherst Veterans Canal Park. The project was designed to help participants gain confidence in the water so that they might enjoy the sport at a recreational or competitive level.
