.Memory of Robert E. Valenti
- The friends and family of Robert E.
Valenti will be holding a benefit. The
funds raised at the benefit will be used
to establish a scholarship in Robert's
memory at the State University of New
York at Buffalo. Robert died at the age
of 27 from a brain aneurysm, while
actively pursuing his doctorate at UB.
The benefit will be held from 5-11 p.m.

Girl Club is an international
artist-activist collective coming to

.A Night At the Museum -
The Buffalo Museum of Science has
added an additional weekend to its "A
Night at the Museum" schedule in order
to accommodate families that were
unable to register for its April sold out
experience. Guests should arrive at the
Museum at 5:30 p.m., Friday, May 16,
and the event will end at 9:30 a.m.

.Armed Forces Day
Celebration - Eastern Hills Mall
will be hosting an Armed Forces Day
Celebration. Festivities of the day will
include a presentation of the colors, flag
folding ceremony, band concert, military
officer speakers and demonstrations by
military drill and sword teams. The
event is free and open to the public and
is from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May

.American History Girls' Club
- The Buffalo and Erie County
Historical Society will present the next
session of its American History Girls'
Club. In each session, which is designed
for girls ages 6 to 12, girls take part in
crafts, activities and a lesson
surrounding one of the dolls from the
popular American Girl series. The
meeting is the final session of the spring
season and will feature the "Kristen"
American Girl doll and look at the year
1854 in American history. This will be
held from 10-11:45 a.m. Saturday, May
17, at the Historical Society's Museum,
