Wolf named ECC male student-athlete of month

Amherst resident Brian Wolf was named Erie Community College's men's student-athlete of the month for April.

Wolf, a Canisius High School graduate, claimed the men's award for his performance on the baseball team.

The 6-0 sophomore was 5-0 with an ERA of 0.92 in 29.1 innings. He allowed only three earned runs struck out 23 while walking only eight.

During the month, he picked up wins over Herkimer, Corning, Dundalk, Westmoreland, and Jefferson. He threw complete game shutouts in three of the games.

For the season, Wolf is 7-0 with a 2.15 ERA.
