Temple Beth Zion to hold 'Solid Gold Fundraiser' this weekend

Temple Beth Zion's third annual auction, co-chaired by Brandi Freiman, Karen Meltser and Michelle Young, will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at the Aaron and Bertha Broder Center for Jewish Education, 700 Sweet Home Road. The live auction begins at 9 p.m.

The Solid Gold Fundraiser will include entertainment by former Studio 54 DJ John Ceglia and a buffet dinner catered by Jackie Kenner of the Gatehouse Grill. Cash Cunningham will run the auction.

Among the many silent and live auction items are weekend hotel and spa packages, Buffalo Bills' and Sabres' sports memorabilia and game tickets, and restaurant certificates. There will also be a raffle for a Nintendo Wii and an Apple iPod Touch.

All proceeds from the event will be used to enhance educational programs and facilities at Temple Beth Zion, as well as school scholarships.

Ticket prices are $54. For $72 per person, the ticket includes admission and a raffle ticket. Call 836-6565, ext. 112, for information and reservations.
