Goalie Krista Pomeroy is one of the big reasons why the Williamsville South girls lacrosse team has seen success this spring.

Pomeroy had a 56 save percentage last week, including a 12-0 shutout against Springville last Wednesday at South. South is 2-4.

Junior Brittany Dworak leads the South offense with 10 goals. Senior Gina Rutecki has six goals.

Strong defensive play by seniors Sarah Crane and Claire Licata have held the team together along with strong leadership in the center from senior Grace Dadebo and junior Ashley Ferenczy.

South played at Iroquois on Tuesday but the result was unavailable before The Bee went to press. They host Eden at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
