Central Amherst 'AAA' Marlins edge Mets

Central Amherst "AAA" Marlins pitcher Matthew Boccio struck out six in the first two innings as they beat the Mets, 12-10.

The Marlins' Joe Sobol doubled in the fourth, scoring Joe Montalbano. Connor Larson, Anthony Maisano, Jordan Nwora and Adam Merkle also scored.

The Mets scored six in the fourth, highlighted by a double from Nicholas Bell.

In the last inning, the Marlins scored six times, including runs from Liam Comerford and Noah Reinhart. Boccio singled in two.

Madison Aston and Nathan Cole scored for the Mets in their last at-bat but the Marlins held on to preserve the win.

Sean Gibson and Michael Tenney pitched well for the Marlins.
