Sweet Home's Blango wins

Josh Blango won the 110-meter hurdles at the Kenmore Track Invitational on Saturday at Crosby Field. Blango won in 15.34.

Blango also took third in the triple jump in 39-5.24 and fourth in the high jump with a leap of 5-6.

Blango also helped the team's 4x400-meter relay to a first-place finish in 3:39.57.

Other members of the team were Matt Cross, Dan Miranda and Michael Bakowski.

Ryan Wilson threw the shot put 42-1.75.

Kyeonta Williams ran a 24.6 in the 200 for sixth place and helped the 4x100 relay team of Denzel Kirkland, Jordan Milton and Cross take sixth in 46.60.

Williamsville East

Colin Begy won the 800 in 2:04.84.

Greg French long-jumped 20-0.5 for third, triple-jumped 37-7.25 for fifth and recorded 16.93 in the 110 hurdles for fifth. Andy MacDonald placed fifth in the 3200 in 10:40.53.

East took 10th with 22 points.

Amherst Central

Jamie Schwartz won the freshman 1600 in a time of 5:08.18. Schwartz led off the freshmen sprint medley to a second-place time of 4:08.57.

Steve Klementowski, Cameron Matthews and Quinlan McNeal also ran on the relay.

Roland Cook high-jumped 5-8 for third place.

Bert Smith took seventh in the 100 dash in 12.32.

Dave Szymkowiak came in fifth in the 800 in 2:09.22 and fifth in the 1600 in 4:48.08.

Amherst took 15th with 12 points.
