South student with knife apprehended at North

A 15-year-old female from Williamsville South High School has been charged through Amherst Family Court after being caught with a knife at North High School.

According to the Amherst police report, the girl, who is not identified because of her age, had been involved in an ongoing exchange of harassing cell text and MySpace messages with a girl who attends North.

On April 23, the student went to North High School to confront the other girl. Assistant Chief Timothy Green said the North student reportedly heard she was coming.

When the South student arrived, she was confronted by an administrator, and the student turned over a knife.

She faces charges of unlawful possession of a weapon.
