Rath seeks Women of Distinction nominations

Sen. Mary Lou Rath, R-C-I-Williamsville, is seeking nominations for this year's New York State Senate Women of Distinction program.

"New York State has a wealth of outstanding women who consistently achieve great things in their communities," said Rath.

This year, a resident of Erie County will be selected as the Woman of Distinction 2008 from the 61st Senate District.

Anyone who is interested in nominating a woman from Erie County who lives within the 61st Senate District (Akron, Amherst, Clarence, Kenmore, Newstead, Town/City of Tonawanda, Williamsville) should submit a brief summary of the nominee's achievements by May 7 to Rath's office at 5500 Main St., Suite 260, Williamsville, N.Y., 14221, or via e-mail at rath@senate.state.ny.us.
