The Park School to offer Scholars Experience

The Park School of Buffalo will offer a new camp this summer, which will run in the weeks before and after the Park Summer Camp. The Summer Scholars Experience is scheduled for June 23-27, Aug. 18-22 and Aug. 25-29 on the Park campus, located at 4625 Harlem Road in Snyder.

Designed and run by Park School faculty, the Summer Scholars Experience will immerse campers in hands-on, project-based, active learning-style education. Swimming in the Park School pool and lunch are included in every program.

The Summer Scholars programs are individually designed for students entering prekindergarten through ninth grade. These offerings include: A Walk in the Park - Nature Camp; Creative Thinking; Adventures in Poetry; Improvisation; Messy, Sloppy Art Camp; Painting in the Park; Cyber Camp; It's Easy Being Green; Park Art Inside Out; and a two-week English as a Second Language course.

"Everyone at Park is extremely excited for the Summer Scholars experience," Don Grace, Park's Head of School, said. "To be able to offer a summer camp that is based upon the same principles as a Park School education is a wonderful opportunity for us. I am confident that these programs will attract students from throughout the community for an enriching three weeks on the campus."
