Wolff named 2008 NYSWCAA all-star

Jamie Wolff, an Amherst resident and St. Lawrence University senior guard and co-captain, was one of 10 players to be named to the 2008 New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Association Basketball all-star team.

Wolff was the top point scorer in the Liberty League this past season, tallying 470 points and reaching the 1,000-point milestone early in the season. Her efforts helped lead St. Lawrence to their first conference tournament title, as well as their second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.

Wolff finished her collegiate career with 1,249 points and holds unofficial school records for points scored in a season (470) and single-season and career three-point field goals made (76 and 210, respectively).

She was ranked nationally and led the Liberty League in various offensive categories throughout the season.

The only unanimous selection to the 2008 All-Liberty League team, Wolff was also named to the D-3 Hoops.com second-team All-East region.
