Lisa Bavisotto of Amherst was named to the dean's list at Slippery Rock University for the 2007 fall semester. She is the daughter of Bob and Susan Bavisotto.

John Stevens of East Amherst has been named to the dean's list at Berklee College of Music in Boston for the 2007 fall semester.

The 2008 Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence was extended to the following Amherst/Williamsville residents: Robert Maxwell, Brockport State College; Adrienne Watz and Kristen Weisel, Buffalo State College; Ramanujam Prativadi, Jennifer Stabel and Alyssa Tevens, University at Buffalo; and Kristi Sharman, Erie Community College. They were chosen among 275 college students from SUNY campuses.

American University named the following residents to the dean's list for the fall semester: Georgie Almon, a senior, and Martha Hanna, a junior, both from Williamsville, and Lauren Anderson, a sophomore, of East Amherst.

Niagara University named the following local residents to the dean's list for the fall semester: John Aguglia of Getzville; Jennifer Groh of Amherst; Steven Helinski of East Amherst; Janelle Ludwig of Amherst; Evan Sardo of Williamsville and Brittany Sumbler of East Amherst.
