China's celebrated maestro Zuohuang Chen is on the podium for this Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra program of mixed styles, beginning with Pei-Xun Chen's "Ode to the Snow." The featured soloist for the program is string bass virtuoso and composer Edgar Meyer, who will render his own "Concerto for Doublebass" as well as Bottesini's dashing "Doublebass Concerto No. 2," from the Romantic era. Topping off the program, will be Ravel's setting of Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition."
