• JEWISH REPERTORY TH EATRE - The Jewish Repertory Theatre will hold open auditions for actors for possible casting in productions for the 2008-09 season and other projects. The directors are interested in seeing men and women with professional experience of all ages and of all ethnic backgrounds (need not be Jewish to audition). Applicants will prepare two contrasting, contemporary monologues for a combined time of no more than five minutes. Auditions will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at the Jewish Community Center, 787 Delaware Ave., Buffalo. For an appointment, call 688-4114.

• IRISH CLASSICAL THEATRE - The Irish Classical Theatre Company will hold college student auditions for its 2008-2009 season from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at the Andrews Theatre, 625 Main Street, Buffalo. Productions for the 2008-2009 Main Series* are: "Star Quality" by Noel Coward, Sept. 12-Oct. 12; "The Cavalcaders" by Billy Roche, Oct. 24-Nov. 23; "Ah, Wilderness!" by Eugene O'Neill, Jan. 16, 2009-Feb. 15; "Hedda Gabler" by Henrik Ibsen, March 6-April 5; and "The Learned Ladies by Moliere," translated by Richard Wilbur, April 24-May 24. One contemporary monologue, no more than three minutes in length, is required. Bring a headshot and resume. • MUSICALFARE THEATRE - MusicalFare Theatre will hold auditions from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday, April 28 at MusicalFare Theatre at Daemen College, 4380 Main St., Amherst. Productions will include "Mid-Life: The Crisis Musical" (summer production), "Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story," "Jamestown Gals: The Music of Lucille Ball & Peggy Lee," "2 Pianos 4 Hands," "Sunday in the Park with George" and "Bada Bing! Bada Boom!" Appointments are necessary by calling 839-8539. Auditioners are asked to bring sheet music for two songs. An accompanist will be provided. Auditioners must be at least 16 years of age. Callbacks will be at a later date, to be announced.
