New partners named at Gaines Kriner Elliott

Couchman
Gaines Kriner Elliott LLP, based in Amherst, has announced the election of four partners, all certified public accountants: Michael T. Vanderwerf, Michael D. Jozwiak, Jeffrey H. Couchman and Denise M. Neamon.

Jozwiak came to the firm as a result of the merger with J.D. Elliott and Company in January 2004. He possesses more than 30 years of experience in serving the financial reporting, tax planning and compliance needs of closely held businesses and individuals.

Vanderwerf also joined GKE after the merger with J.D. Elliott and Company. His area of focus and expertise includes accounting, corporate taxes, partnership taxation, and mergers and acquisitions for business clients as well as tax preparation and planning services for individuals.

Couchman came to the firm as an intern from Canisius College and joined the firm upon graduation with a dual degree in accounting and management information systems. He has been an associate with the firm for the past 14 years and has concentrated on developing his expertise in auditing and accounting services. He heads the firm's efforts in continuing accounting education.

Jozwiak
Neamon joined the firm following an internship after receiving her bachelor's degree in accounting from Medaille College in 1995. Neamon brings a depth of experience to the firm as a CPA practitioner with her areas of expertise including serving all of the accounting and tax needs of closely held businesses. Neamon is responsible for financial statement reviews and compilations, corporate and individual tax planning and preparation, process improvement planning, and small business software implementation and consulting.

Along with managing the relationships and services of clients across Western New York, Neamon also manages the firm's East Aurora office.
