YMCA honors employee of the year

The Northeast Family YMCA has named Janet Puleff of Amherst as the 2008 Employee of the Year.

Puleff has been the school-age child-care site coordinator at Clarence Center Elementary and Sheridan Hill Elementary Schools since 2005. Puleff uses "excellent leadership skills to run these sites with high member-satisfaction scores."

"She has earned the respect of school administration and takes every opportunity to create a positive and enriching environment for the children in her program. She incorporates the core values in every lesson plan, and parents have expressed their appreciation for her ability to treat everyone equally and respectfully," the YMCA branch said about her recognition.
