Buffalo In-Line Hockey Group action heats up

There was a lot of excitement last Saturday at Buffalo In-Line Hockey Group games.

In the major division, the Warriors were losing to the Crush when Kolin Schultz (Amherst) scored with 11 seconds left in regulation to knot the game at 6-6. Dave Schlandt scored the only goal in the shootout to give the Crush the win.

Another example of the excitement saw, in the junior division, the Sharks ride three Matt Dickinson (Williamsville) goals to a 3-0 lead going into the third period over the Devils and then withstood a late charge to win, 3-2.

The next game saw the Maroons down 3-1 to the Knights in another junior division game with only 8:40 remaining. The Maroons rallied and got a Jonathan Meyers goal with only 17 seconds left to earn a 4-3 victory.

The junior division first-place team, the Orangemen, were losing to the Gladiators with 4:10 left in the game after a Cris Klimek goal made the score 6-4 but rallied for three goals in the final four minutes by Tyler Arno (Amherst) to pull out a 7-6 win.
