Guy Walser Jr., war veteran

Guy Oliver Walser Jr., of Williamsville, died Monday, April 7, 2008.

Mr. Walser served his country in both World War II and Korea. He served his faith in the priesthood since 1964 and retired from GM Harrison Radiator in Lockport.

He was a neighborhood icon for 38 years in the village of Williamsville, always ready with a helping hand, a smile and a joke. He was also an early garbage recycler and respected conversationalist. He is survived by wife, Gay, of 51 years; children, G a y, Guy, Rebecca, Hugh and Michael; four grandchildren; and brother, Richard.
